Vouv is the most ambitious project I have taken on, and the one I have been working towards for the longest time. I am building it with a co-founder, and the company, Vouv, Inc., is legally registered in San Francisco, California.
The point of Vouv is accountability. When you ask a general AI assistant for expert work, the answer has no name on it. Nobody stands behind it, nobody checked it against a professional standard, and if it is wrong there is nothing you can do. Vouv puts a verified human behind every agent. You hire the agent of a named, credentialed professional, in areas such as contract review, tax structuring or visa applications, to complete a defined task at a fixed price. The expert’s agent gathers the context deliberately, delivers a fixed deliverable checked against a recognised framework, and if you need the person, they are one tap away. If the delivery falls short, there is a clear path to a fix or a refund. Workflows chain several experts’ agents together so that one purchase can carry a case from start to finish, and experts can sign up to build and sell their own agents.
For me, Vouv is the practical side of a question that runs through my research: how do you trust a system that acts on someone’s behalf? The answer Vouv gives is that trust in software should be anchored in trust in an accountable professional, not in the model alone. I will write about the journey, and the trade-offs behind that design, on the blog.
